SAKSHAM is a Government of Maharashtra initiative focused on comprehensive skill mapping, workforce understanding, and livelihood alignment, aimed at strengthening human capital as a key pillar of Viksit Maharashtra 2047.

 

The initiative enables data-driven skill planning, improved employability, and effective alignment between citizens, employers, and training institutions.

About the Initiative

SAKSHAM seeks to create a robust skill intelligence framework by collecting and analysing structured data from:

Residents (citizens)

Understanding citizens’ skills, employment status, income patterns, and livelihood aspirations.

Participation through:

    • Door-to-door census
    • AI-based self-survey.

Employers

Capturing industry demand, workforce requirements, and skill shortages.

Training and skill institutions

Assessing training capacity, course offerings, and placement linkages.

Resident Census

Purpose:

To understand citizens’ skills, employment status, income patterns, and aspirations.

  • Long-term livelihood planning at the community level

Who should participate:

  • Working individuals
